Sending trackback problem

I tried sending tracback more than 10 different URI, but everytime
I got error like below. however coming trackback from other users or blogs are no problem at all

• Checking http://eargasm.egloos.com/tb/475442 for possible trackbacks...
• Trackback failed: No trackback-URI found.

I did try these URI, but same prblem..

Would anyone try trackback to those blogs which are aleway test free blog and they are my blog account too?

Hi Mike!

Serendipity does not need the Trackback-URL directly. Instead, just link to the HTML version of the full entry you want to link to, and serendipity will automatically detect the trackback URL you entered all on its own.

This way you don't need to manually search for the trackback links and can let s9y do all the work for you

However the source blog needs to support the full trackback API and thus needs to embed RDF-information in the HTML representation. MoveableType, WordPress, TextPattern, Serendipity all do this. The URL you specified doesn't seem to be doing this, so they should use a blog application which supports the Trackback-API in a right way...

Thanks for consideration of it.
well i think still i lost some concept.
I know Serendipity automatically detects the URI link to be trackbacked because I read your reply and manual. Thanks again.
Anyway I like to make sure what I'm doing right. The way whenever I create "trackback", I do write some sentence and I copy (or copy shortcut) URI from blog site I try to send it and I write the the URI link in the Entry Body then link is change blue color font. and I click "Save" button. so far am I right?

So I did test trackback following two blog sites. One is MovableType user other is pblog blogger.

but still same error like that

Hi Mike!

You copy the wrong URLs to your entry.

I don't know many MoveableType blogs, and the official one at moveabletype.org does not support trackbacks. But if you take http://www.roell.net/weblog/archiv/2004 ... aege.shtml for example (moveable type powered) you can look at the source HTML and see the needed RDF for autodetection.

The trackback link of that entry is http://mt.roell.net/mt-tb.cgi/1206 - but you do NOT need to put that link into your article, you only need the first link and serendipity will autodetect the rest.
