Hi,
I want to install Serendipity 1.7.8 on my localhost (xampp), and when I start installation, I got this:

I cannot see anything of preinstallation check, and therefor I cannot install it.
Can anybody give me some suggestion?

Yes! :) This one line was readable indeed. But what does it say above?
And look into your browsers source code, to see if there are any errors hidden in the markup.
Else check your apache access and error logs.

I will check now my apache access and error logs.
It looks I don't have .htaccess file ...

P.S. Thanks for answering so quickly. I am really impressed with support!

Ah, ok it just the normal text.
Yes, please digg in the logs or in pages source code. There must be an error somewhere.
You did try to reload the page, to exclude a temporary hickup?

Yes I tried ...but now I quit installing it on my localhost, and installed it on my hosting as a subdomain to test it. Everything is OK there. i'll keep setting it there and when I finish I'll just move it to my public_html.
