Releasing Serendipity 1.7.1?

Hi!

We still have an outstanding Serendipity 1.7.1 release. It mostly includes these things:

- Switch to mysqli if using PHP >= 5.5
- Smarty upgrade to 3.1.14 [dunno if this has serious/important fixes]
- defaultBaseURL fixes, when this var is missing
- Fix the missing current group name when editing a usergroup

plus some other smaller fixes that impact few people.

What do you think, release 1.7.1 ASAP, or are there some thing left worth investigating and waiting for more user feedback?

Personally I'm ok for releasing 1.7.1 quickly, and then maybe offering a 1.7.2 if something else comes up. If nobody objects, I'll try to release it this weekend?

Regards,
Garvin

I think with the strange baseurl bug in 1.7, this is highly anticipated. I haven't done anything in master in ages, so no objection. ASAP, please.

Apart from our conversation to start pushing out 1.7.1 and also the following commits, I feel definitely fine with a short release! :D
(And I also am exitited to have a follow-up 1.7.2 sometime, since I like that number!)

May I give to remember this thread http://board.s9y.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=19214 ?
We are now heading to a point release and could now add that option to spamblog with ease...!

My opinion is still to have this for 2.0 only.
