Thanks to the overwhelming, positive and fast feedback to our first 0.8 beta release we were already able to squash some first bugs. Those include missing usernames in the RSS comment feed and the missing escaping of special HTML characters for submitted comments.

You are advised to upgrade your 0.8 versions to this latest release, as this issue may have security implications.

We will further stay tuned to getting more feedback from all of you - Thanks to all the testers out there!

On behalf of the team,

Garvin

Dear Garvin,

can you create a file, that contain changed files only?
and then, someone can create an UPGRADE plugin for s9y ;)

i search for an easy and -maybe- automatic way to upgrade s9y :)

Regards,
Omid

@oxygenws,

thanks for reply. I've read
and found the following:
This is how you should update from a previous release of Serendipity: Download the latest distribution, unpack it to your existing folder, open the Admin panel of your blog, say hello to our update script and let it do its work.
Of course I've updated to beta 2 this way on my local installation, but I will have to transfer again all of the files to my remote location in WWW using ftp. If I knew what files have been changed I must not upload all of them - that's the content of my initial question.

Thx,
Roaster

The important changed files were:

docs/NEWS
include/functions_comments.inc.php
include/functions_entries.inc.php
include/plugin_api.inc.php
