tag clouds / social bookmarks

hello,

i was wondering if you have a tag cloud plug-in for serendipity?
as otherwise i wanted to add one such as - Tagline Generator : http://chir.ag/tech/download/tagline/
but i'm not sure how i would install it, being not so advanced in blog-technologies!

i also wanted to add a selection of social bookmark 'add' buttons to every extended article - does anyone know where would i go to add the various bookmark badge 'html' to the template?

Yes, please check spartacus.s9y.org for the "Freetag" event plugin.

Social boomarks are also listed in that repository, also an event plugin.

i've installed the plug-in but it doesn't seem to come up in the Event Plugins - Backend: Editor section... i'm looking for 'FreeTag' hmmm
could it be conflicting with another plug-in?

is the social bookmark plug-in an 'add article' button or does it only display articles from social bookmarking sites itself?

Hi!

The freetag plugin hooks itself into the left panel, section "Entries". And underneath each entry it will print a box where you can associate a tag to an entry.

Then you can also install the paired sidebar plugin "Freetag" which will display the tag cloud in your sidebar.

is the social bookmark plug-in an 'add article' button or does it only display articles from social bookmarking sites itself?

It shows a button that links to each social bookmark service with your referring article url.

does the freetag enable a list of tag's in a cloud form, or only in a list form?

one final question regarding tag clouds!

When i click a 'tagged' word it goes to 404 page not found

how do i go about creating a 'plugin/tag/' page for it to link/connect too?

Hi!

If those URLs lead to a 404 page, you might have enabled the use of "URL rewriting" in the s9y configuration but your server doesn't support it. Set that config option to "None" and the plugin URLs should work.

thanks for the suggestion - i had a look and url re-writing is already disabled...still can't get it function correctly

Hi!

If you had enabled URL Rewriting earlier, you might have configured a "wrong" URL in the Freetag plugins (Sidebar and event) now, that is no longer valid.

Check out those configurations and search for where it says "blabla/plugin/tag/" and change that to "blabla/index.php?/plugin/tag/".
