Problem with Entryproperties-Plugin after update to 1.4 beta

Post by lordcoffee »

Hi!

I think I've found a little bug (maybe) with the new features of the Entryproperties-Plugin in Version 1.4-beta1. When I enter some text or something else in my custom fields and saving the entry it is saved and shows fine on frontend.

But when I get back to edit the entry all fields are empty. When I save again all custom field inserts I've made before are gone.
I purgeed old cookies but this doesn't help. Any idea?

Hi!

Wow. This is not only a little bug, but a huge one infact.

I immediately committed the fix to SVN:

http://svn.berlios.de/viewcvs/serendipi ... ision=2393

I will issue a blog posting on blog.s9y.org tomorrow with updated snapshots, so that people can get aware of this issue. MANY thanks for reporting. I'm quite surprised that this has not popped up earlier. Seems the extended options are not used that much aftera all :(

Garvin

Thanks! Since I'm using a lot of custom fields I think the feature of sorting the entryproperties is very useull! I have another small request: Wouldn't it be nice if we could add more than one image to a custom field with the mediadatabase button? When I now choose an image and then try to add one more to the same field it replaces it. This woul be usefull for editing like described in this entry.

Thanks, lordcoffee

Hi!

That's not easily possible. How would you indicate if you want to replace a field, or add multiple values to the field? How would you solve that interface-wise?

I thought about something like that:

Is it possible to set the second button in a kind of way so that it recognizes if s9y has to replace or to add the link?

Hi!

Okay, as for the interface that sounds like a good idea. Currently, the s9y media database needs some new code so that it can append image links, so this will be something that's coming to s9y 1.5, but I'll try to work on that.

While you are working on the media database ...... are you going to add a "multiple file insert button" (for entries)? I thought about something with checkboxes.
