Upgrading 1.2 to 1.3 Fatal Error functions_smarty.inc.php

Post by Capt Mike »

Hi I just upgraded from 1.2 to 1.3 when I go to the site I get all green or writeable:
I am here to help you upgrade your Serendipity 1.1.2 installation.
You are seeing this message because you have just installed Serendipity 1.1.3, but have not yet upgraded your database installation to fit this version.
First we will take a look at your current setup and attempt to diagnose any compatibility problems.
Errors are displayed in red, recommendations in yellow and success in green.

Permissions
/home/wwwtate/public_html/ Writable
/home/wwwtate/public_html/templates_c Writable
/home/wwwtate/public_html/uploads/ Writable
When I click on the upgrade button I get this:
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: smarty in /home/wwwtate/public_html/include/functions_smarty.inc.php on line 704
I reuploaded the include folder to make sure things are fine. then I set to the premissions to 777cmod to make sure that was not the issue. so........I dont know what is wrong. :(

Thanks!

Hi!

It looks like you deleted or wrongly uploaded files in the 'bundled-libs' directory, specifically the 'Smarty' subdirectory?

Best would be to re-upload ALL files frmo the release, and make sure no transfer errors occur.

Best regards,
Garvin
