Safe files to delete

Post by davecjr »

Is there a list of files that are safe to delete somewhere? I'm just trying to clean up my website and do not use any languages besides english, currently only use one theme, and there are a few plugins I do not use. Just curious...

I love the software by the way. I've gotten a lot of compliments.

Thanks

Just cleaning mainly...

I've never had a problem with disk space with my ISP and since I've started using s9y and a photo gallery, I am about out of space! I'm not saying s9y is the problem but when I looked for places to clean up, I noticed all the languages and templates.

I just like to clean up stuff I know I will never use and figured there had to be someone else out there as picky as I am about wasted space and trying to keep things cleaned up!

Suggestion: download s9y again and unpack it somewhere locally. Then compare the local directory to the one you've uploaded onto your webserver. Except the files in uploads are safe to delete from s9y (like README, TODO, aso. ).
Everything else depends on you. :)
