Syndication is the wording used for a method to display/enforce usage of aggregated content.

Easier: Syndication is when you embed other's peoples messages/news on your own page, and in return allow other's to display your messages as well. The common format for syndication is XML/RDF/RSS. Syndication is also, when you just collect different articles from different sources (=aggregation) and do whatever you like with them. Usually you just read them.

So this is like a buzzword for collaborative exchange of news/articles/opinions.
