Hello dear developers,
i'm using this plugin for my other authors. The Logout button in the frontend does not work. I am still logged in after pressing this logout-button. May be, its a bug.

"serendipity_plugin_loginform" logout does not work
Re: "serendipity_plugin_loginform" logout does not work
We're going to need more info.
Are you using the current version of the loginform plugin? Is that in s9y 2.0 or 1.7?

Re: "serendipity_plugin_loginform" logout does not work
indeed, version 1.09 from serendipity_plugin_loginform
and latest official 2.0 S9Y.
I've tested it with two blogs.

Yup, I can reproduce this even in latest master.

Do I assume correctly that you do not have the corresponding event plugin (serendipity_event_loginform) installed?ICE wrote:indeed, version 1.09 from serendipity_plugin_loginform

Because that needs to be installed (and I can no longer reproduce the issue if it is).

Re: "serendipity_plugin_loginform" logout does not work
Oh, I was not aware that I had to install it because login works even without the login event plugin. Some other plugins have a hint in settings that a another plugin (sidebar/event) is mandatory, so I apologize that I haven't found it.
But, thats odd:
Number 1 blog (the important one): Logout is now possible (Serendipity 2.0, PHP 5.4.16)
Number 2 blog (not important, does not matter): Logout impossible (Serendipty 2.0, PHP 5.5.18)
Thanks for investigation.
By the way: A separate link to the backend area under the logout button would be fine in addition to "new entry" and "new media" ...

Re: "serendipity_plugin_loginform" logout does not work
Funny thing: I ran into the exact same issue a couple of months ago. I had entirely forgotten about it until Garvin mentioned it on GitHub today.ICE wrote:Oh, I was not aware that I had to install it because login works even without the login event plugin.
I have no idea why it works on on of you blogs, but not on the other.
I do, however, agree that the frontent output of the plugin could use some love. That being said, with the current situation of 1.x still being supported while transitioning into 2.x, it is complicated to update some plugins. Complicated in the sense of “it takes time, and since we're a small group of devs, we need to prioritize”. Currently, out priority is on developing the core and the most-used plugins rather than the ones few users use.
