Hi! Don Chambers wrote:My cvs client is too unreliable, so I made no attempt to change where I could. However, if you are going to change the phpbb template, should probably change the wiki, blog and the plugin/templates page.
Aaahh...the hassle of it.... Regards, Garvin

Hey guys, sorry for the short downtime we just had - I took the opportunity to upgrade the phpBB version. Let me know if you run into any issues and have a happy 2012!

Hi!
I don't understand. Your bbcode is probably not posted because you've disabled it in your profile or inside the posting...?!
(Note it says *DISABLE" bbcode, so when you check the box, it's DISABLED, not enabled)
Regards, Garvin

[quote="garvinhicking"]I don't understand. Your bbcode is probably not posted because you've disabled it in your profile or inside the posting...?![/quote] I didn't log in for like 2 months, so that can't be it.
[quote="garvinhicking"] (Note it says *DISABLE" bbcode, so when you check the box, it's DISABLED, not enabled) [/quote] It was always implemented like on the screen in phpbb (at least since 1.5 or so)
Greetings
edit: Tried turning it off and on again, no change. This was a workaround for an old bug that caused this behaviour after a software upgrade..hmmm. edit2: Full cache and cookie kill, still disabled...

When I edit your post (which I can do as an admin), I see that the box "DISABLE BBCode" is checked in your entry posting... http://cl.ly/3V3t093D3Y0c0S1N2H0A

You can't change that in the posting editor though, it's a global setting via UCP. ( ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=post)

When starting a new thread everything is fine btw. This seems like one of those old phpbb bugs. Maybe try http://www.phpbb.com/bugs/phpbb3/ticket ... #post70035edit: Also, I only have "don't parse URLs" and "notify me" as options ! You should clearly check the permissions on the groups. They tend to get kicked in the nuts by the upgrade, which is relatively common when upgrading phpbb. Und da du ja auch Deutsch kannst: phpbb ist nunmal ne eierlegende Wollmilchsau ;)

Hm, strange. You're the only one that reported this currently. I'll try to check the other things you mentioned on user permissions when I find the time.

@Dergln You know, that you can !not! use BBCode in 'Announcements', as it is not part of the (normal) userspace....

I didn't notice that yet, but this seems to be the cause.
So everyone who isn't in the adm or mod group can't use BBCode in the announcement area...I really don't see a reason for this.

Don't ask me about that...! :) I think it is because its called 'Announcement' and not 'Diskussion'.
