Hi,
please tell me where to find the iTunes-Feed in podcasting plugin.
http://www.deimeke.net/testblog/
It's a fresh installation with the new 2k11 Template.
Cheers

Re: iTunes Feed in Podcasting Plugin
Hi!
I try to continue the discussion from G+ here.
Did you enable the itunes specific options in the configuration of the plugin? Maybe you can post your plugin configuration, then using your feed I could inspect what is generated and see what URL you might try.
Regards,
Garvin

Hi!
Are you sure you're using the latest version? It has an option "iTunes XML markup". And then the default RSS 2.0 feed should contain all required itunes XML markup...

Garvin

The testblog is a fresh installation with the plugin from spartacus.garvinhicking wrote:Are you sure you're using the latest version? It has an option "iTunes XML markup". And then the default RSS 2.0 feed should contain all required itunes XML markup...
I see the option and it is filled by default with
Code: Select all
<itunes:subtitle>John Doe's personal blog</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:author>John Doe's personal blog</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>My little place on the web...</itunes:summary>
<itunes:image href="http://www.deimeke.net/testblog/itunes.jpg" />
<itunes:category text="Technology" />

Hi!
Just checked; it's all there. also the RSS feed contains the mp3 enclosure, so this should be picked up by itunes!?

Garvin

Re: iTunes Feed in Podcasting Plugin
mp3 is picked because I mention it first in the article. Because of bandwith considerations I like to put ogg first, but in case this does not work, I am ok with that.garvinhicking wrote:Just checked; it's all there. also the RSS feed contains the mp3 enclosure, so this should be picked up by itunes!?
I have to apologize, it seems that either Firefox and Internet Explorer are not showing the itunes-Tags. Now I tested with wget and everything is fine. Sorry for that!
Thanks for your support Garvin

Re: iTunes Feed in Podcasting Plugin
Hi!
No problem; It could be related to the RSS caching feature, so your browsers might have cached the feed and will only show changes once you write a new entry?

Garvin

Re: iTunes Feed in Podcasting Plugin
I don't think so, I tried with various browsers on different systems. It seems the browsers interprete the XML coming back.garvinhicking wrote:No problem; It could be related to the RSS caching feature, so your browsers might have cached the feed and will only show changes once you write a new entry?
