Plugin Wish: Import Comments from Facebook

Hello,

all my blog articles are "imported" in Facebook. So people read and also comment it in Facebook directly.

There is a Widget for Wordpress (sorry which reimport comments (in Facebook) on articles to the relating article in the own blog.

Is there an interest for such a Plugin for S9y? Would anybody like to code it?

I can only offer to beta-test the plugin.

Hierbei ist zu beachten, dass über die Graph-Api nur Kommentare von Usern ausgegeben werden, die dies in ihren Privatsphäre-Einstellungen zulassen. (Soweit ich weiß ist das aber die Standard-Einstellung)

Do you know, which one of the settings i have to change so that comments are (not) shown on external pages?

If it is really standard, that comments are delivered to a external page, there should be something like "Double Opt-in" if the FB-user really wants to show his comment on an external page.

That's great. Retrieving the comments should be easy.

What I find weird is that the Graph API shows all my wall postings - even though my profile is set to "for friends only". I didn't notice that everyone can see my wall postings through this means.

I'll try to create a plugin for this in the next few weeks.

Do you have to auth to Facebook? If so, than maybe only you can retrieve all your posts with the api.

I found a different way, by NOT using facebook note imports, but the "RSS Grafiti" app instead. It seems to work well, but more testers would be nice.

Yes the plugin works with RSS Graffiti.

The plugin serendipity_event_facebook I set "Execute when?" to "12h" but serendipity_event_cronjob seems to work every two minutes

thanks! Indeed the cronjob plugin has a serious bug that prevents it frmo working. I just committed 0.6 of the plugin, and will also announce this on the s9y forums.

How did you check for new plugins exactly?

When you use the spartaucs event plugin and have a valid mirror enabled, the pluginlist should contain the plugin "serendipity_event_facebook".

You can also always go to http://spartacus.s9y.org and download the ZIP archive there, and then upload it to you r server..

Maybe comments can only be fetched for personal profiles that are set to public...I don't have a fanpage, so I didn't test it with that.
