Responsive mods for Bulletproof

Post by terrym »

Hi all

I've been using Bulletproof as the template for my blog, but Bulletproof isn't responsive as far as I can tell.

I have tinkered a bit with 2k11, but so far I haven't been able to get it looking like Bulletproof.

Does anyone here know if it would be possible to modify Bulletproof in some way to make it responsive? Or maybe there is a good tutorial somewhere which shows how this might be done?

I look forward with hope and anticipation to a suitably positive solution.

Regards

Just a short shot in this: You dont really want 2k11 to look like Bulletproof, really?!

Making BP responsive is always possible (at least in some parts), but this will take a lot of time and Knowledge and would be something to someone that loves to fiddle on riddles. :)

I can not point you to some awesome tutorials doing so ATM, in this case Google is your friend, but Yellowled will surely know a lot for you.

Ian

That's correct. When BP was built, responsive web design was a long way away.

Of course if would be possible. It would also be a lot of work. Speaking only for myself: work that I won't do.

2k11 was designed to ultimately become the new default theme for S9y, which sort of makes it the successor to BP. I realize that users, especially those who are not very “tech-savvy”, still love BP for it's options, but it is just not very “state of the art” any more. I specifically designed 2k11 to be much simpler than BP, which also means less options. 2k11 will most definitely not become a responsive version of BP.

That being said, if someone else wants to try a BP-like fork of 2k11 or make BP responsive, go right ahead. But 2k11 as the new default template will remain simple and maintainable (which BP is not and never has been).
