Hello,
first, sorry for my bad english ;-)

I have a problem to move my serendipity blog to a new server : PHP 5.3.3-7+squeeze13
I have made an upgrade to serendipity 1.6.2, all is fine but the export PDF dont work very well.
The problem is that I lost all typographical enhancements in the PDF = italics, bold, and I have problem with accents.
Before, with PHP 4, the export work fine.
I have test the config, and it seems that html2pdf support dont work.
Someone have a solution ?
Thanks

Seems to be that this plugins pdf 2 html code is outdated and PHP4 only.
There are alternatives (http://html2pdf.fr/en/download) or even upgrades (http://sourceforge.net/projects/html2fpdf/) out there, which need to be recoded into the plugin.

But you are not telling us you use that plugin for uprading issues, do you?
Was that the intention of that plugin?
Regards,
Ian

Thanks.
I understand, but I am not able to recode the plugin...

I used to do with serendipity Multiuser a biographical dictionary, and PDF export works fine in PHP 4. With the PDF, we export in Word because this work will finaly printed. This is the reason why we need typographical enhancements...
we work for 3 years, but PHP4 will be dropped on the server...

Is there an other solution to export the blog in Word ?

regards

Hmmm
Not that I know, but I should be easy using a current version of PhpMyAdmin.
There you can export to various formats, like XML, Word 2000, PDF, etc...#
You should give that a try.

You dont want the html?
Having in mind I 'm just guessing, as I personally never did that before...

Then you need to export to XML by phpmyadmin or use the S9y RSS feed export and read it with an external tool like wpxslgui (WordPress XML Export Converter) or similar, or even Word itself.

Maybe there also will be someone updating the pdf plugin...

Ian
