Hi!

I've to confess that i'm really disappointed by the performance of the webserver the S9Y homepage and the board is hosted on. Whilst developing a template, i often want to check the board for some topics, but simply can't, because the webserver is not responding.

Am I the only one with this problem? Are there solutions?

Can't confirm that over the past couple of days. Or weeks, actually.

Hm... well; the last days all other websites worked well, but not S9Y.org. That's why i thought it's a webserver problem.

I had those issues too, also opened a thread about it. Not in the last days, but surely the last weeks.

Well, the server has been known to have its quirks. I also seem to remember Garvin saying something about him and Jannis working on something concerning the blog …

Yes... Server runs on nginx which i have little knowledge of. The php cgi process often stalls and it takes minutes to become responsive again. Hard to debug, we're at the end of the knowledge. Maybe somehow jannis can move it back to apache some time or see whats going on.

Thanks for the answers; I feel delighted that i'm not hallucinating about the webserver's lags. I'm sorry to be unable to offer any nginx-hints, mostly because it's the first time I heard about it. Seems to be pretty spread; Wikipedia writes that about 22.4 % of the Top 10.000 websites are using nginx!
