It's not my favorite time to get up at on a Saturday, but that would work for me as well.

Unfortunately, that time would not work at all for Don, it would be 3 a.m. - 7 a.m. Chicago time.

That would be brutal - but if it is the only time you guys can do it, then go ahead with your plans. I can read the summary notes if necessary.

Hi!

Well...if it's only onli+yellowled+me participating at that point, I'd rather reschedule until more people could join - else it wouldn't be fruitful at all. I'd really love for Mattsches, Timbalu and Don to join in...?

Ian didn't show any interest of participating. Gonna ask Mattsches though. Don would be good to have with us if he were involved in 2.0 or planned to be in the future. I know the former is not the case, is the latter? :)

I'd also rather have more people than just the three of us, but another date does not necessarily mean more people will be able to join us. FWIW, I already asked mattsches about the earlier time on 01/03, and he said he could make it.

That being said, I think rescheduling for the 15th or 16th only makes sense if we reschedule for a later time so Don can join us. That would mean not before 17:00 our time, I guess.

If Mattsches can on the 1., I suggest doing the meeting then and I'll happily make a second call with Don to fill him in and get his feedback (later that day or later that week).

Fine with me. But we need to fix this today. I'll ask Mattsches on Twitter.

How about doing the talk from 13:00 to 14:00? Or which time would you prefer? 12:00 to 13:00 so that we'd have some "air" if it takes longer?

Alright.

So, let's meet this Saturday at 12:00 german time on my mumble server like last time, then we will sort out things.

I guess an hour plus x will be enough. I reckon the time-consuming part will be showing you guys around in the backend and mentioning all the changes, but I'll try to speed that up as far as possible.

As far as I know, there's only 2 open issues, one wouldn't even need to be fixed for a beta phase. We have a lot of optimization and cleaning up to do which might need some more development (automagic concat/minify of CSS/JS files comes to mind). Then there's of course testing.

Other than that, my main concern is how to “integrate” additional plugins here, so that might chew up some discussion time.

Given the fact that Garvin's time is limited, everyone should be online in Mumble at 12:00 German time (sorry about the time, Don; don't try to make it, that's brutally early your time). Maybe we could use some kind of collaborative writing tool online again to write summary protocol? Etherpad or something?

Hi!

Sounds cool. To me the most pressing issue would be to get the installer/upgrader to work properly. Because we need Smarty during installation, possible errors when templates_c is not writable would need to be outputted with proper HTML formatting, definitely. Maybe there's a way to utilize smarty in that scenario without it needing to write to a directory yet.

Ideally I'd like to try the mumble recording feature, not for a public upload, but for us to create notes from afterwards. If one of us four people is busy with creating notes, that would draw some time...

That is already solved, I think Ian solved that for the installer way back when :) smarty->eval or something.

That sounds like a great idea.
