all-inkl.com installation

Post by PeterAfox »

Hello everybody!

I'm trying to install S9Y on an all-inkl.com server - it used to be that they had an automated script for this, but no more.

I wondered rather than me spending hours (probably days) hacking together a htaccess script or whatever, whether a wonderful person had such a script or at least some helpful tips.

(yes, I already read www.s9y.org/36.html and looked around the forums for a discussion on this but either I'm too stupid (_), missed something or prefer an easier way - I don't remember Serendipity being so hard to install before .... but then I was younger)

Thanks in advance,

Pete

It would be way easier to help you if you could outline what exacty is hard for you about installing it.

Basically, installation on all-inkl.com should just be:

* set up a database in your webspace using the all-inkl.com admin interface
* download the current s9y release file zip to your computer
* unzip it
* upload the content of the directory unzipping created to your webspace via FTP
* call the URL of your blog in a browser and follow the installer

That should be it.
