Re: Contact Form
I could not find anything about guests in the configuration but I removed the adduser plugin and that solved the problem - anyone can use the contact reply form now.

Re: User Self Registration
Are you able to use a tool like phpMyAmdin? If so, can you check the serendipity_authors table and see if the created account is in there? If not, check the serendipity_pending_authors table? It appears in the Serendipity_authors data base table when someone registers as a new user, and they reply ...

Re: Cannot install new plugin
I have found that if I disable "Spartacus" I get back the ability to install event plugins.
When I enable it then it gives the same message and I cannot install event plugins.
Something is wrong with "Spartacus"
Any Ideas what the problem is?

The Template_c directory is writable (777)
BUT
When I click on the file "package_event_en.xml" inside the templates-c folder the permisiions of that file are 664 and I cannot change them to 777 - just will not change! remains at 664.
The Templates-c folder remains at 777

What version of serendipity are you running? Server issues always give me headaches, but this sounds like a possible permission problem on the server..... just a guess right now. Is the folder templates_c writeable? Version 1.41 Templates_c is writable The events plugin was working fine until today...

Re: Making a Discussion Forum
Hi! The plugin provides two functionalities: One is a simple (VERY simply) discussion functionality. The other function is to connect to an existing external phpBB board. If you disable phpBB mirroring (this is the default) you can access your discussion forum through http://yourblog/index.php?sere...
