Which db-tables can I empty before migration?
As mentioned in another request http://board.s9y.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19004 I'm preparing for moving my s9y installation to another server. During 4 years the database has grown quite a bit. I don't have the original size any more but in 2009 the db-dump was some 800 KB and now it is 272 MB. ...

limit size of spamblock bayes db?
I'm just preparing to migrate s9y from my home-server to a hoster and while doing so noticed that the database is huge. sy_spamblock_bayes contains over one million of datasets, more than 30 k pages in phpmyadmin. How can I limit the size without making it forget everything? (Now, just for the migra...

Re: Piwik plugin
I just grabbed this one year old thread to let you know that I'd like such a Piwik plugin if/when it is available.

Re: my_calendar pluging with target="_blank"
How do you come to that assumption? because they told me. I remember that back in the days of Netscape 2.x or 3.x I was sometimes annoyed about websites opening new pages because the browsers tended to crash when more than a few windows were open. (And I also remember those javascript "jokes&q...

Re: my_calendar pluging with target="_blank"
Let me clarify: some links from my calendar lead to other websites. This is confusing for the users, as they don't know why they don't see my blog any more. Doesn't happen to advanced users, because they know how to handle their browswers and mice, but normal users just click and get lost. //ps: Tha...

my_calendar plugin with target="_blank"
I use the "My calendar" plugin (serendipity_event_mycalendar, serendipity_plugin_mycalendar) in my blog with a Bullet Proof template. And I would like to have all links in "My calendar" open a new page (i.e. target="_blank"). What would I have to change to achieve this?...

Re: Spartacus: deprecated plugins
Thank you Garvin! @ real problems: I meant it the other way round: There may have been a reason to install some plugin years ago. If the context has changed (e.g. IE 6.0 users << 1 percent) it is not necessary any longer and should be uninstalled just like any other unnecessary stuff. But if somebod...

Re: Spartacus: deprecated plugins
related question: is there a list of deprecated plugins that should only be used, when there is a *real* reason for using them? I'm just listening to the podcast and heard that the browser compatibility-plugin is deprecated, but I have no idea which other plugins are outdated or not necessary any mo...

related: Now I still know who modified the file and why, but in some months I may get scared, when I read it. Is there any way to get rid of this message?

Re: error after upgrade
Thank you!
Did I say already that I love serendipty and that I love serendipty support even more? (Although I rarely need support, because s9y just works.)

[solved!] error after upgrade
I have just upgraded from 1.5 to 1.6 and now I see the following error, when I go to the statistics page of the admin-interface: Warning: preg_match() expects at least 2 parameters, 0 given in /var/www/s9y/plugins/serendipity_event_statistics/serendipity_event_statistics.php on line 410 line 410 loo...

Re: s9y and mysql
@other processes: There are a mediawiki, a wikindnx (http://wikindx.sourceforge.net/) and a gallery2 on the same server. But they are not publicly available (at least not to search engines), so they should cause no/very few queries, unless I myself use them. Thanks for the hints. Now I know at least...

s9y and mysql
Recently I noticed that my blog became somehow slower. It takes some time until pages are shown. So I looked into the server and found that mysql needed lots of time (and memory) - something like: top - 10:20:46 up 1:24, 1 user, load average: 0.07, 0.04, 0.06 Tasks: 82 total, 2 running, 80 sleeping,...

Re: How to remove image border
I had fixed my above mentioned problem somehow (unfortunately don't remember how), but after an upgrade in January I have had the same problem again for some weeks. The thumbnails don't really fit into the layout because they don't align on the left and there is too little space between image and te...
