Link plugin causing slow site?

While checking out some of the other plugins, the "links" plugin looked like something I could use. I selected install, and it seemed to take forever, but eventually returned me to the admin screen. I then returned to weblog to see the results. Again, an eternity to get there. I went back ...

Thanks Garvin, I am familiar with META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" url=.... Is redirection a bad thing from an indexing perspective? In the future, I plan to do another site. Is it safe to assume that it would be better to NOT install s9y into a subfolder, and keep it on the "root" of t...

Move index.php?

I originally installed s9y at www.mysite.com/serendipity/. All the paths point to that location, both in relative terms, and absolute. The original thinking was that the blog would be yet another page on my website since the site itself if much more than a blog. Now, with the help of many people her...

CoSTa - that changes the comment text.... but not the footer (#: author on date, time). serendipity_comment - background-color here would affect the entire comment. serendipity_comment_author_self - this does change the background of the comment text for me, but does not affect the footer. serendipi...

comments by me - background color

Looks like there is a css class I cannot locate. For comments *I* have personally added to an entry, the background color for author, date & time, etc, is different than for any other entries. In my case, that background color is coming out near white. Changes to the .serendipity_comment_source ...

Garvin - I finally got around to comparing some of these readers. Looked at Sage, Pluck, Wizz (new), and a few others. Absolutely NOTHING compares to RSS Bandit!! But, you already knew that. I have only installed it a short time ago, and have much to learn, but it is clear they really have their stu...

Well, things just get stranger by the minute. I had some issues reinstalling the broswer compatibility plugin, but I have that resolved.. So, with the plugin operational, I viewed my main page using MS IE. I also saved the page as an htm file. Here are some interesting observations: When viewing wit...

Garvin - it will be difficult for me to come to any conclusion on the result. I was not personally having any problem viewing the page from IE. Carl was the one who noticed it, and I think one other person observed the problem as well. However, I will happily try your suggestions, and when one of th...

Addition to above: It would also appear that the emoticon images are likewise not using height or width: <div id="serendipity_emoticonchooser" style=""><a href="javascript:use_emoticon_comment(':\'(')" title=":'("><img src="/serendipity/templates/default/...

I happened to save the HTML output of a page viewed by IE before I removed the plugin. Here is the s9y banner: <div class="serendipitySideBarContent"><div class="serendipityPlug"> <a title="Powered by Serendipity" href="http://www.s9y.org/"><img src="/ser...

Garvin - there are 2 issues being discussed here. They may, or may not, be related. The first relates to the useage of transparent pngs possibly causing distortion in internet explorer. The second is my inability to get precise table/cell sizing in any browser. For simplicity, lets stick to the png ...

I've been poking around with my uneducated eyes...... I have only found a couple of things, and I doubt they are related to the problem, but thought I would mention them anyway. I am having a sizing problem... I've mentioned it before, but in brief, I have a background image in the leftsidebar that ...
