Hi
Just as a matter of interest, why do you say "I'm using Serendipity in an unusual way"?
Thanks
Terry

Re: Forum plugin
Thanks to some really good forum tuition, I've finally reached the stage where I can click on the update button and get myself the latest version of Serendipity. But I'm a little worried that I might lose access to the database, or something similar. Is anything like this likely to happen? Is there ...

Re: Forum plugin
Hi Timbalu Thank you very much for all that info. I'm not used to working with automated scripts like Serendipity, I would much rather fiddle with raw PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. Anyway, I installed Spartacus OK. Then Dashboard OK. And lastly, Serendipity Autoupdate also OK. I then clicked on the...

Re: Forum plugin
At last! Finally something to look at onscreen! Although it doesn't look much like a forum? In the header, I get the Forum title and description. The normal blog sidebar on the right, and the title and description repeated in the main body. And below them, the standard message "No boards define...

Re: Forum plugin
Hi Timbalu
Thanks for that info. In 2003 Garvin Hicking wrote "http://yourblog/index.php?serendipity[subpage]=forum". So I put in my own details and it almost worked, I think?
So in "serendipity[subpage]", what actually goes in place of subpage?
Thanks

Forum plugin
Hi everyone I have a very popular blog using Serendipity (obviously!) with the Bulletproof template. And so, a few months ago, I thought it would be a good idea to install the Discussion forum / phpBB comment mirroring (forum). But I could never get it to work. So today I decided to have one last st...

Re: Using Serendipity Media Library in my Blog
Hi Timbalu Thanks very much for your reply. When you said the Media Library in on Board, I expect you mean that it is already running in my Blog. If that is the case, my question should be "OK, but how do you use it?". That is the question I should have asked to start with. Are there any i...

Using Serendipity Media Library in my Blog
Hi
Does anyone know where I can find instructions on how to use and incorporate a Media Library into my Blog?
And it would also be great if I could find out how it actually works, or what it looks like on a blog?
Thanks in advance
Terry

Event Forum
Hi all Does anyone know where I can find some information about the Serendipity plugin SERENDIPITY_EVENT_FORUM? What I would like to know is........ Can the forum viewed totally within the blog itself? Will a link to the forum appear in one of the sidebars? What does the forum look like? I expect th...

Responsive mods for Bulletproof
Hi all I've been using Bulletproof as the template for my blog, but Bulletproof isn't responsive as far as I can tell. I have tinkered a bit with 2k11, but so far I haven't been able to get it looking like Bulletproof. Does anyone here know if it would be possible to modify Bulletproof in some way t...

Hi yellowed
Thanks very much for that. Needless to say, it worked perfectly and without a browser refresh as well.

Search term(s) in 2k11
Hi everyone
I'm just experimenting with changing from Bulletproof to 2k11, and while most of the transition has worked admirably, I cannot find where, or how, I can remove the Search Box (with "Search term(s)" inside it.
So, does anyone know how I might accomplish this?
Regards
Terry

Re: Getting event_forum to work
Thanks Garvin for your reply.
You mentioned that the event forum isn't currently maintained. Does that mean it isn't very good? Is it used by many Serendipity users?
Thanks

Getting event_forum to work
Hi all I have downloaded and installed serendipity_event_forum into the plugins folder of my website (terrymold.co.uk). I then logged into my blog as admin and installed to plugin. Then I selected Configure Plugins and filled in as much as I thought it needed, and saved it. Everything appeared to go...

Installing a Forum
Hi everyone I now have a reasonably successful personal blog (terrymold.co.uk/serendipity/index.php) thanks to Serendipity. But I would now like to add a Forum to the site. I am interested in the serendipity_event_forum plugin, but I'm not sure how I should actually install it. Is there a highly ski...
