Rubbish Comments

HI All Since starting my blog using Serendipity, I'm getting increasingly more really weird comments, sometimes with random characters, and other times with sentences made with random words. Obviously these comments are easy to delete, but I'm really interested in why people make these strange comme...

Plugin for Hit Counter

Hi all Does anyone know of a Serendipity plugin that will count unique visitors, or perhaps a similar alternative? Or does Serendipity already have a built-in counter that I've missed somehow? I imagine it going in the " Insert code for counter and/or web stat tool " section of Styles etc....

Re: PHP in an HTML Nugget

Hi Garvin I do actually know what PHP and HTML are, but that's not the point of this inquiry. I have now installed the "serendipity_plugin_externalphp" plugin, and I can see it in the sidebar. Could you please tell me how it is to be used? Can I paste into it the php code itself? Or maybe ...

PHP in an HTML Nugget

Hi all I have inserted an HTML Nugget into a sidebar and then placed a bit of HTML code into it. Naturally, this worked exactly as expected. So I then inserted a second HTML Nugget directly below the first one. If I then put a bit of HTML code into this nugget, it also works as expected. But what I ...

Re: Centralisation of pop-up images

Personally, I think the page looks much more logical than what I was previously trying to do. If you compare how it used to look - pretty jumbled and possibly a bit on the confusing side - and how it looks now and there isn't anything to compare. To be honest, I had thought of using an unordered lis...

Re: Centralisation of pop-up images

Thanks again YL You're probly right. I've been thinking more or less exactly the same thing. I guess it means that there isn't a workable solution. If it were PHP for example, it would "know" the width of the column. Then it would also "know" whether the smiley was left or right ...

Centralisation of pop-up images

Hi everyone I have recently started using Serendipity and after quite a few tries with other blog software, I have found Serendipity to be exactly what I want, and it is also incredibly logical and straightforward to use. But I'm having a bit of trouble, not necessarily with Serendipity itself(?), b...
